SCNS Sports Foods, maker of the popular 1st Tee™ and 10th Tee™ nutrition and energy bars, is a proud partner to Tee It Up for the Troops, an organization that provides support for critical areas of need for veterans and their families through charity golf events.

SCNS Sports Foods supports American heroes and Tee It Up for the Troops via donating 1st and 10th Tee Golf Energy Bars for Tee It Up for the Troops golf events held across the nation. With more than 530 charity events held in over 40 states since inception, Tee It Up for the Troops considers it a privilege to support all those who serve(d) in the Armed Forces for this great nation! 1st Tee and 10th Tee golf energy bars have been fueling warriors and other event players since 2014.

“We are extremely grateful to the men and women who have served our country. We fully support the Tee It Up for the Troops’ mission to honor, remember, respect, and support veterans’ transitions to the home front,” said SCNS Chief Operating Officer Bill Stewart. “We are happy to enhance the experience of military heroes who play in the tournaments as well as other participants. Whether golfers are scratch players or fighting to break 100, the nutrition and sustained energy our bars provide will help everyone play their best,” Stewart added.

“Tee It Up for the Troops is reliant upon charitable contributions to support those who have fought to protect our freedoms and we are very grateful to receive support from generous donors like SCNS Sports Foods,” said Tim Wegscheid, Tee It Up for the Troops President & Executive Director. “SCNS is an amazing company that has consistently supported our mission and events. We are positively impacting the lives of these American heroes thanks in part to their generous contributions.”

US Navy Vietnam Veteran, Jerry Peterson, loves 1st Tee and 10th Tee Energy Bars “When I’m out there playing golf and need some extra energy, these delicious bars keep me alert and into my game,” Peterson said.

Tee It Up for the Troops has donated over $11 million since 2005 in support of the treatment of PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury, housing & homelessness, suicide prevention, employment, family and caregiver support, and sports rehabilitation for veterans. We have also reunited more than 300 combat veterans through our REUNION outreach program.

Due to the partnership of Tee It Up for the Troops and SCNS Sports Foods, warriors and civilian golfers will keep fueled for the day as they raise funds and awareness for critical services to help veterans heal and transition from the battlefront to the home front.
